Edmunds design system
Starting with our customer experience first, the design direction follows a simple and conventional system that makes it for easy for designers, product owners and developers to follow. The purpose of this project is to design and build a uniformed site experience for our customers by following some core principles that promote efficiency, sustainability and scalability. These are the tools to effectively communicate the Edmunds Brand site experience and vision.

Problem
There a lot of people get involved in building various projects in our site. There are experience designers, product owners, stakeholders and managers who need to approve and develop numerous pages every day throughout the year. We had a premature design guideline that covers only the essential design elements, but we need the very robust design system to support the design team’s workflow, speed, and productivity. One of the major problems with our website was the inconsistency, and design was fragmented since we didn’t have a reliable design system.
